Implant Dentistry Rancho Palos Verdes
Natural-acting and looking replacements for missing teeth
If you have one or more missing teeth, or one or more that need extracting, Dr. Palani may recommend dental implants as a solution to your dental needs. Dr. Palani utilizes ultramodern implant procedures and is extremely well-trained and very experienced performing this procedure.
A dental implant is the closest thing to a natural tooth. An implant is composed of three parts: The implant itself, a biocompatible titanium “root” and a replacement tooth or crown. Dental implants let you chew freely as well as improve your appearance and give you more confidence. Dental implants are also used to create fixed bridges and stabilize dentures.
Single source for all your Dental Implant needs
You can get the entire implant procedure, from your initial consultation to the final placement of your new crown with Dr. Palani. He does it all: bone grafting, sinus lifts, dental implant crowns and the implant placement itself. Most procedures can be done by Dr. Palani himself, with no referrals to specialists needed and no unnecessary expenses, driving or appointments.

Procedures we can perform with dental implants
Missing teeth can be embarrassing and can limit what you can eat. Dr. Palani is well-versed in several state-of-the-art procedures that use dental implants in the replacement of one or more missing teeth. Thanks to advanced technology, dental implant treatments have become the new “gold standard” for the conservative replacement of one or more missing teeth.
Single-Tooth Implants: A dental implant that replaces a single missing tooth.
Implant-Supported Dentures: Implant-supported fixed dentures are a way to replace teeth when all or most of the teeth are missing on either the lower or upper jaw.
Denture Stabilization: Implants are used to link the denture to the appropriate place in the jaw to prevent denture slippage.
Implant-Supported Bridges: If you are getting teeth extracted, or are already missing teeth, an alternative is a bridge supported by dental implants.
All-on-4 Dental Implants: With just four implants on an arch, Dr. Palani can provide you a full set of functional, fixed teeth in just one appointment!Back to the top
“I had major problems with my teeth for several years and had missing teeth on one side of the mouth and failing bridges and crowns. I was having difficult chewing and my teeth were starting to get worse. I got 12 implants, a new bridge and some crowns. The treatment was very comprehensive: I got two sinus lifts and bone grafting to facilitate the implants and root canals.
“I am really happy with the results. I can chew a lot better and can now chew on nuts, which I love. With the bridges bits might get caught under where I couldn’t reach. I feel better and feel younger. I’m very happy!
“I would and have recommended him to friends and family without hesitation.”
“Dr. Palani is THE BEST DENTIST I have ever been to, and I have been to many. I lost all my teeth at an early age due to neglect and disease and I have been wearing dentures ever since. My dentures never fit right, were loose and sometimes cause me a lot of pain. Eating, speaking and smiling, basic things most people take for granted were a daily challenge for me.
“That was until I met Dr. Palani. Dr. Palani placed 6 implants in my upper jaw and 4 implants in my lower jaw He used these implants to retain and secure a new set of dentures he made. My dentures no longer move when I eat or speak and they no longer cause me any pain, physical or emotional. Dr. Palani and his staff are true professionals with excellent bedside manners. Dr. Palani gave me back the ability to speak, and smile again. I will forever be grateful.”

Advantages of Dental Implants
There are many advantages to dental implants, including:
- Improved appearance. Dental implants look and feel like your own teeth. And because they are designed to fuse with bone, they are permanent.
- Improved speech. With poor-fitting dentures, teeth can slip within your mouth causing you to mumble or slur your words. Dental implants allow you to speak without the worry that teeth might slip.
- Improved comfort. Because they become part of you, implants eliminate the discomfort of removable dentures.
- Facilitated eating. Sliding dentures can make chewing difficult. Dental implants function like your own teeth, allowing you to eat your favorite foods with confidence and without pain.
- Improved self-esteem. Dental implants can give you back your smile and help you feel better about yourself.
- Improved oral health. Dental implants don’t require reducing other teeth, as a tooth-supported bridge does. Because nearby teeth are not altered to support the implant, more of your own teeth are left intact, improving long-term oral health. Individual implants also allow easier access between teeth, improving oral hygiene.
- Durability. Implants are very durable and will last many years. With good care, many implants last a lifetime.
- Convenience. Removable dentures are just that; removable. Dental implants eliminate the embarrassing inconvenience of removing dentures, as well as the need for messy adhesives to keep them in place.
